Microsoft To Offer Limited Linux Support

Microsoft has said it has developed some new virtual machine additions for Red Hat and Novell Suse Linux distributions, as and demonstrated some of their newest open-source wares at the LinuxWorld trade show.

Microsoft has said however that it will not directly be supporting the popular Linux virtual machine VMWare platform.

Microsoft has offered its software and format royalty-free and will offer a free hypervisor in the future Microsoft will likely face an battle against VMware and Xen in the future.
